How To Quick Setup MikroTik Router.
Setting up a MikroTik router can be quite straightforward. Here’s a quick setup to get you started:
Hardware Setup:
Unpack your MikroTik router and connect it to your modem using an Ethernet cable.
Power on the router by connecting it to a power source.
Connect your computer to the router using another Ethernet cable, or connect via Wi-Fi.
Access Router Interface:
Open a web browser on your computer.
Enter the default IP address of MikroTik routers in the address bar. The default IP is usually "192.168.88.1" or "192.168.1.1". If you’re unsure, consult the router’s manual or the manufacturer’s website.
Login to the Router:
Once you've entered the IP address in your browser, you should see a login page.
Enter the default username and password. By default, the username is "admin" and the password is blank. If it doesn’t work, consult the router’s manual for the default login credentials.
Basic Configuration:
After logging in, you'll be in the MikroTik RouterOS interface.
Set up your internet connection. Go to the "IP" menu, then "DHCP Client" or "PPPoE Client", depending on your type of internet connection.
Configure your WAN interface to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) or manually enter your ISP’s PPPoE credentials.
Once your internet connection is configured, you should be able to access the internet.
