You don't have to use their services - and you certainly don't have to pay for them. You can host your own Internet-accessible storage, integrate it with your computers and mobile devices - all with free software and a Raspberry Pi. Or a PC. Or almost anything, really. If you already followed my Pi-Hole or AdGuard Home tutorial, you only need to add a flash drive (like $40).
