Building a Remote Sauna Switch Module | Add WIFI Smart Phone Control | Simple Cheap Project
In this project, I install & program a cheap Wi-Fi Switch Module. It can remotely turn on and control devices with a phone. I show how to program buttons, set timers and create schedules with a smart app. This hack is perfect for saunas!

*Note: The switch module will not show as a Device option. You can add it as a Socket (Wi-Fi).

// NOTES
1. It would have been easier to use single-strand wire. The button solder point are very small and the multi-strand wire I used was too thick and difficult to precisely solder. I also could have increased the temperature of my soldering station a little.
2. The switch module can be set to different modes. In this application, I am using the "inching mode" so the relay only activates momentarily. This works the same as pressing the button on the circuit board. (Turn on 0.5s and then auto-off.)
3. In my application, polarity is not an issue so it doesn't matter how you connect the wires as long as one wire connects to the COM (common) terminal and the other wire connects to the NO (normally open) terminal.
• When the switch module relay is inactive the circuit is left Open.
• When the switch module relay is activated, it will Close the circuit. (This will then connect the two points on the circuit board the same way as when the button is pressed.)
