THP8 on PS2 PLAYTHROUGH FOR THE FIRST TIME
Shaba Games had developed a lot of extreme sports titles including big hits like Grind Session, Razor Freestyle Scooter, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX, and THUG2 Remix on PSP.
This version had a lot going for it, but plenty of things dragging it down. A lot of the main drawbacks were dealing with skater handling and strange new control schemes interfering with what we're all used to.
Neversoft put out the THP8 on PS3 and XBOX360 at this time.
It looks like Shaba used a mix of assets (levels, goals, menus, fonts, UI, cutscenes etc) from Neversoft's Tony Hawk's Project 8 (PS3/XB360) and used them starting from the completed version of Neversoft's Tony Hawk's American Wasteland on PS2 (SFX, skater animations & mechanics).
