Windows 11 - Upgrade Or Clean Install An Unsupported Machine
In this tutorial, we upgrade to the full version of Windows 11 on an unsupported machine, either by in-line update or clean installation, on devices which otherwise fail to meet the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. We achieve this using MediaCreationTool.bat, a third-party utility which effectively removes Windows 11 hardware checks from the installation .iso or U.S.B. media which it creates. Using that media, we can either update an existing Windows installation, or possibly more significantly, perform a clean installation on a machine without an existing operating system.
The operation described in this tutorial requires a reasonable degree of technical competence, and should only be attempted by those confident in their abilities to troubleshoot and rectify issues which may occur. Following the tutorial will involve temporarily suspending antivirus software, bypassing Windows Smartscreen and deliberately circumventing those hardware restrictions designed to improve the Windows 11 experience. Furthermore, at the time of this video’s publication, it is entirely unclear as to whether Microsoft will provide the usual security updates to users whose machines do not meet the minimum system requirements. Note that, whilst TPM checks can be bypassed, issues pertaining to available storage may require alternative workarounds.
