How to convert metre into litre
Meters (m) and Liters (L) are units of measurement for different types of quantities. Meters measure length or distance, while Liters measure volume or capacity. Therefore, you cannot directly convert meters to liters, as they measure different things.
However, if you're dealing with the volume of a rectangular object (like a box), you can use the following formula to convert meters (m) to liters (L):
*Formula:*
Volume (in liters) = Length (m) × Width (m) × Height (m) × 1000
Here’s why:
The result of the multiplication gives the volume in cubic meters (m³).
1 cubic meter = 1000 liters.
For example:
If the dimensions of a box are 2 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 4 meters high:
Volume = 2 × 3 × 4 = 24 cubic meters
Volume in liters = 24 × 1000 = 24,000 liters
So, to convert the volume of a three-dimensional object from meters to liters, multiply the length, width, and height in meters, and then multiply by 1000.
