After Effects: Advanced Puppetting using the Pin Tool
If you puppet a character using the Pin Tool in After Effects, this video will help add versatility to your character rig.
An example where this would be helpful:
You have used the Pin Tool to puppet a character's arm. You now want the character to pick up another object. If you tried normal parenting, it wouldn't work. However if you follow these steps, it'll work.

0:50- Precompose the character's arm and create the Pins
5:35- Create an object for the character to hold, set its anchor point and place it in their hand.
