Translation into English:
"Soviet atomic scientists, on the instructions of the party and government, worked hard and selflessly for many years, first on the creation, and then on the improvement of atomic and hydrogen weapons, because they understood well that if we do not have such weapons, there will be forces that will seek to bring our beautiful Motherland to its knees."
"The discovery of the possibility of using atomic energy is the greatest achievement of our era. So let us work on the further development of this discovery only for peaceful purposes, in order to improve the life and well-being of all the peoples of the world."
