In this video, we’ll guide you through the process of deleting your LastPass account and migrating your data to a new password manager. If you’re ready to switch to a different password manager, this tutorial will show you how to export your LastPass data, import it into a new platform, and securely delete your LastPass account.

To get started, open your web browser and go to lastpass.com. Sign in to your account, and once on the main interface, find the “Advanced Options” menu on the left side. Scroll down and select “Manage Your Vault.” Under this section, you’ll see the “Export” option—tap on it to begin the data export process.

LastPass will prompt you to verify the export by sending an email to confirm your request. Check your email inbox and confirm the verification link provided. Once confirmed, return to LastPass, where you’ll be prompted to enter your master password. This will generate an export file containing all your saved passwords. Download and save this file to your desktop or a secure location.

Now, choose a new password manager you’d like to use, such as 1Password, Bitwarden, or Dashlane. In your new password manager, look for the “Import” option. Select LastPass as the import source, and upload the exported file from your desktop. Follow any additional prompts to complete the import.

Once your data has been successfully imported into the new password manager, return to LastPass to delete your account and all associated data. Go to the Advanced Settings in LastPass, then delete any remaining data, including linked apps, TFA (two-factor authentication) setups, and subscriptions. To delete your account completely, visit the LastPass account deletion page, sign in, and confirm your request by providing your master password. Choose a reason for leaving, then select "Delete Account."

We hope this tutorial helps you transition to a new password manager smoothly. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave any questions in the comments. Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you in the next video!
