How to Resize a Sterling Ring Smaller | Silversmith Tutorial
I needed to resize a ring for myself and so it was the perfect opportunity to make a video on how to do just that! You’ll see me removing metal from the ring shank and then soldering it back together. Resizing a ring takes just basic silversmithing tools and even beginners can do it!
Tips:
-remove any stones that can’t take heat
-only resize 2-3 sizes
-for each size up or down, adjust the ring shank by 2.5mm
