Why I switched to Linux Mint
Here is the real reason I switched to Linux Mint, instead of upgrading to Windows 11, or moving to another OS, such as Free BSD.
I cannot afford Mac, so Linux Mint ended up being my best bet!
I like a lot of Linux distro's, but if one of them is to be my favourite, it is Linux Mint! This is because Linux Mint is very similar to Windows 10 in look and feel, and it is very easy to use. I prefer Linux Mint over Ubuntu, because I think Mint has a nicer GUI, and has more variety, since you have 3 editions to choose from, which are:
MATE
Cinnamon
XFCE
Why did I not choose BSD, or another OS?
Simply put, BSD is too complex, Mac OS is not super affordable, the lesser known systems are not developed enough yet, or lack a lot of software and hardware support, and Windows is just becoming worse & worse with time, regarding ad ware and spyware built into it, and the bloatware, so I thought it would be a good idea to move to Linux Mint, and use it as my daily driver.
I have really been loving my experience with Mint, so much so that I will never go back to Windows!
It sure was worth the effort.
