In the spirit of Halloween, the event began with TIM COOK, Apple's current CEO, introducing that today we would have news on the Mac side!
Soon after, he hands over to an executive who cites the advantages of Macs and the current chips.
And soon after, Apple reveals the new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips!
We have the BIGGEST leap in graphics architecture Apple has made to date.
We have Dynamic Cache, which would be dynamic memory allocation, something very important for games and heavy applications.
Mesh shading is also more advanced here, meaning more information in the shadows, as well as Ray Tracing, which improves all visual aspects of games.
In practice, Apple showed that the new chips are MUCH better than the previous ones, in this case the M1 and M2 lines. They are about 30% faster than the M1 line and 15% faster than the M2.
Apple also presented several other pieces of information regarding the improvements of the new chips. It's impossible to share them here, so I'll leave a page with all the information to complete here in the description. But from the compilation of new features, you can already see the main improvements to Apple's "most advanced chips."
After that, Apple cited the MacBook Pro as the BEST professional laptop in the world and introduced improvements to the new models!
The 13-inch model has finally been discontinued, replacing it with the 14-inch model, now with an M chip (normal). In this case, we'll see the M3. (But we'll also have the M3 Pro and M3 Max.)
As for the larger 16-inch model, we'll only see the M3 Pro and M3 Max, which are intended for "extreme" work...
