Project "Balaklava"
Balaklava is a great coastal flying site on the Crimea peninsula on the Black Sea. Notably, the tight-knitted, head-covering garment "balaclava" used in paragliding and other outdoor sports derives its name from this site, as this is where British and French soldiers first wore "balaclavas" during the Crimean War of the 1850s. The Balaklava flying site is intermediate to advanced pilot level.
