It is easy to set up Gmail account in outlook 2016 using Gmail IMAP settings.
Firstly login to your gmail account
And click on your profile image to find Google account .
Go to the google account and under sign in and Security .
go to Apps With Account Access and turn On – Allow Less secure Apps.
Secondly – From the gmail account Click on the gear icon at the top right, then choose Settings.
You will Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and click on it to bring up the POP and IMAP settings.
Now you Click Enable IMAP and hit save change button .
Outlook 2016 Setting : Now open up Outlook 2016 and click / Choose File→ Account Settings / Add new account . A new pop up window will come up . You need to put your Gmail Email Id and Password to configure outlook properly .
