Portgas D. ace is both a fictional character and tritagonist of the one piece series. He was the son of late King of Pirates, Gol D. Roger. Adopted as older brother of Luffy and Sabo, by Monkey D. Garp. He was the 2nd division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates.
Ace ate the devil fruit Mera Mera no Mi, a Logia-type fruit that allowed him to become the element of fire and control the flames.
