Home Cockpit - Boeing 737
Hello, my name is David Whitaker, I am 16 years old, and from the UK, my dream is to become a commercial airline pilot. Ever since I was little I always wanted to become an airline pilot, and today my ambition is still to become one. I have built my home cockpit with my Dad, Stuart, the guy in the photos. The cockpit is built from PVC Pipe & Styrofoam insulation, and is based around a Boeing 737 NG. On my simulator I mainly fly the PMDG Boeing 737-800, and over the years have mastered most, if not all of the systems on the aircraft. To take my simulation one step further I have also joined VATSIM, which is excellent and allows me to do full realistic flights with ATC, Air Traffic Control.
I am currently at Sixth Form College and have based my A-Levels around becoming a Commercial Airline Pilot, and have already had a few flying lessons. Every time I go on holiday I have to go and see the pilots and express my enthusiasm towards aviation.
Hopefully in the near future I will one day look back at this video when I am an airline pilot and know that I am doing the best job in the world and appreciate what I have achieved...
