Depends on the gun and the choke constriction… if your shotgun has interchangeable choke tubes (most modern guns do) them yes you can change the tube to No#5 a (cylinder bore and safely fire slugs).. if you have an older firearm with a fixed choke full choke is the worst and the chances of damaging your barrel greatly. and read your shotgun manual guide before using slug in your shotgun. i used no 5 clyinder choke for testing 12 gauge slug.
Slugs can be fired from almost any shotgun but you must know what type of barrel you have. Rifled barrels are designed for slugs. Skeet barrels are pretty much straight and wide open and perfectly fine for slugs.

Slug Distance:
From 75 yards and in (with the occasional poke out to 100 yards) a rifled slug holds its own compared to a sabot. But if you have any chance of a 100-yard-plus shot, a sabot is clearly a better choice in terms of accuracy and trajectory.
My new video and experience say you can clearly hit a target in 150 meters . I already hit a target in 100 meters and other video I hit target in 110 meters. With round ball slug.
