Conversion
1ᵒ (One degree) = 60’ (60 minutes)
1’ (One minute) = 60” (60 secs)
1 nautical mile = 1852m
1 knot = 1 nautical mile/hour
2 knots = 2 nautical miles/hour
3 knots = 3 nautical miles/hour
Example:
Speed – 1 knot = 1852m/hour
1852m/60mins = 30.9m/min
Speed – 0.77knot = 1426m/hour
1426m/60mins = 23.8m/min
Speed – 0.5 knot = 926m/hour
926m/60mins = 15.4m/min
