Here's how to ensure the fan's don't kick in needlessly on the new MacBook Pro 16 Inch. I used the Endurane App to make sure the CPU didn't go into Turbo mode (make sure you select "Slowing Down Processor" in the Endurance menu to get this benefit). I don't have a need for the CPU to kick into Turbo when I'm recording music, but I do need the fans not to be loud, so this was the perfect solution.
EDIT: I was having some trouble with the MacBook not waking up properly when using the QGeem USB-C Hub to connect a second external display. I solved this by using two QGeem USB-C to HDMI adapters connecting the two monitors directly to their own USB-C ports, while using the HUB on a separate port to only connect other peripherals that were not monitors. The issue of the laptop not waking up properly went away when I did this.
