In this video, I’m covering one of the biggest gameplay features in Star Citizen 4.8: repairing, refueling, rearming, and getting ships combat-ready again directly inside the Polaris and Idris.
You’ll see the full workflow step by step: where to buy the materials, which resources you actually need, how to load them correctly onto the cargo grid, how the hangar service works in practice, and why this system turns capital ships into real mobile bases.
We also break down the difference between the Polaris and the Idris. On the Polaris, the process is straightforward because there is one serviced hangar. On the Idris, internal logistics become much more important, because the materials have to be loaded into the correct landing area if you want that specific hangar position to access them.
On top of that, we look at why this changes the game for solo players, crews, and organized groups. This is the kind of feature that makes long-range operations, support gameplay, and real carrier-style deployment far more practical in everyday gameplay.
