Janette López was born in California and raised in México. She has 8 years of experience as an editor and director. She has worked in Los Angeles and Mexico City for clients like Mundo Fox, Univision, TV Azteca and Netflix.
KRISTIAN HERNANDEZ, COMMUNITY ORGANIZER
Kristian Hernandez is a first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrants, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She was recently elected to the National Political Committee of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), a role that puts her in the primary political leadership of the largest socialist organization in the US. Her home chapter, DSA North Texas, has been active in Dallas since 2016, and she served as it's co-chair from 2016-2018. She has a background in immigrant rights organizing, having served as a Community Outreach chair and two-term Vice President for a local grassroots immigrant rights group, the North Texas Dream Team. During the day, Kristian is a Human Resources professional.
JESSE MORENO
Jesse Moreno is a lifelong resident of Dallas's City Council District 2, born the son of activist Jesse Sr. and Amelia Moreno. He has extensive experience on numerous community boards - perhaps most notably, a long tenure on the City of Dallas's Park & Recreation Board, where he became Vice Chair. He envisions Dallas as a true world-class city, while still holding the small town charm in every neighborhood. In that vein, in addition to his community activism, Jesse Jr. now oversees his family's historic East Dallas business - La Popular Tamale House."
