Alright. So, here we have a customer with a lot of Microsoft Publisher files that need urgently converted to InDesign. Well, it's very easy to do, with Markzware's Pub2ID for CS6 and soon coming out for Adobe Creative Cloud.
In InDesign, you'll see, up top, in the menu items, a “Markzware” menu item. You click on that and you'll get all the various Markzware products you've demonstrated, or tried out, or have purchased. And you'll see a couple that might be in development, here, that you can't have yet. Sorry.
Anyway, what you do is you select, for instance, if it's a PDF, you can select “Convert PDF”. If it's a Quark file, you select “Convert QuarkXPress Document”. And, if it's a Publisher file, you go to “Pub2ID” and “Convert MS Publisher Document”.
Actually, in this case, it'd be plural, documents. And what I mean by that is you can actually go in there and select any number of files. For instance, let's first take these from a different version. You see these are older. And let's see how Publisher to ID, Publisher to InDesign, or Pub2ID from Markzware handles those.
You just can batch process as many files as you need to convert, all at one time, making the process of conversion and re-creating the layout very easy. You just click “Open”. Pub2ID will convert everything. You see, in the background, it'll also create a job folder with all extracted imagery, graphics, that are embedded, very useful, because then you can reuse those, in a professional way, in your InDesign layout. It'll create a job folder, for each individual file you see here, and a new InDesign document, which you'll see pop up in a moment.
Look at that, one after the other. It'll create new tabs for each file, and, once again, new job folders in the background there, in your, in the directory for each file.
