this is the "infinite scroll." -- a motion graphics video on why doomscrolling on social media (youtube shorts, instagram reels, tiktok) is simply just more harm than good.
this video definitely one of the longest projects I've done so far, probably taking about 50 hours of work. made this video for a class project on informative motion graphics videos, but I feel like I used too much 3d for something like this...
it's also my 3rd project ever with After Effects, and it's actually pretty nice in terms of tools offered. but I still had to use DaVinci Resolve for adding SFX, and final touches.
here's some stats:
recorded and edited voice over in Audacity
created slot machine in Blender
all other graphics and 3d made in after effects
9 HOUR RENDER from AE, to Quicktime ProRes
SFX added in DaVinci Resolve (from freesound and pixabay)
Rendered into DNxHR, handbraked to H264
spent 1 week nonstop working on this (possibly up to 50 hours)
1/2 weeks before planning and figuring out ideas
