Hero 8 - SuperPhoto - Is it better ?
Lets take a look if a new Superphoto is better in Hero 8 compared to Hero 7 black ! GoPro claims that they revamped a new algoritm in their new Hero 8 black, that being said lets put it to test.

So basically prepared this test in different lighting scenarios just to give this test some justice and to my surprise it turned out that Hero 8 black truly takes better photos in superphoto mode, the overall image to my opinion is a bit warmer because of the white balance, and there is definitely more contrast to it BUT what really got my attentin is that in places where there was a lot of harsh light and dark areas , like mangrove forest, hero 7 completely lost it and ended up with a washed photo lacking colour and contrast at all, whereas Hero 8 still managed to capture a decent photo
I am not saying it was a good photo by any means etc, I strongly recommend for anyone of you who wants to take their photos with GoPro to a next level please try out edditing your RAW photos for example in Lightroom, you will never want to go back.
I simply cant justify taking superphotos for myself simply, I honestly think that this feature is good only if you dont want to edit your photos and just want to share it on social media asap.
The worst thing about superphoto is that you dont have any control over what gonna happen with the end result, you have no manual control and everything is done automatic within the camera, for me its a huge drawback.
