Summer and fall of 1941. Odessa, a city pressed against the sea, surrounded by land and doomed, by all accounts, to fall within days. But instead, one of the most intense and tragic defenses of the Great Patriotic War begins.
For 73 days, soldiers of the Primorskaya Army, sailors of the Black Sea Fleet, militiamen, and civilians hold the city under constant artillery strikes and bombing. Streets become front lines, the port becomes the last lifeline, and every dawn threatens to be the last.
This film is not a dry chronicle, but a cinematic war story told through the fear, fatigue, courage, and sacrifice of ordinary people. Counterattacks in the night, evacuation under fire, a devastated city, and the silence after the battle.
The defense of Odessa became a battle for time, for honor, and for human dignity, continuing far beyond the city itself.
