C++ Tutorial 25: Mysterious X Macros
In this video, we'll wrap up our little adventure into C++ #define by looking at a very clever, and little known trick called X Macros.
This is not a rudimentary topic, it's soft of extra curricula, it's not required knowledge at all. There's plenty of expert C++ programmers out there that don't know or care about this technique. Many programmers will have faced the exact problem this techniques solves, they may not even be aware that there is a very elegant and ingenious solution. The problem they solve is common, but knowledge of X Macros is not.
X Macros can be fantastically complicated and powerful, I've only scratched the surface in this video. #define working hand-in-hand with #include really opens up some bizarre and very interesting preprocessor programming techniques.
