This videeo is meant to be viewed by the Microsoft Community where I have requested help in fixing my PC's Windows 8.1Windows Media Player which stopped burning CD-Rs regardless of chosen speed (normally "Slow") and settings. I'll leave the video up for a while in case someone on YouTube also can help me or to say they're having the same problems. The video shows that I've done every step properly and it's got to be faulty software. I've burnt approximately 100 CD-Rs successfully, always at SLOW speed and identical settings. The problem started just a few days ago, on its own.

I apologize for the shaky video but I'm 83, I'm using a Canon PowerShot S5 IS and in my weak hands (due to cerebellar ataxia and dropped head syndrome) it's heavy and I'm operating the trackball/mouse with my left hand.

The video shows the following:
1. You see the blank CD-R in the drawer and my fingers pushing the drawer closed.
2. I go to the monitor's upper right hand corner and you can see that CD-R pops in so the blank CD-R has been recognized.
3. Then I click on the right corner down arrow and the drop down menu shows that "DATA CD or DVD" is checked.
4. Then I move the cursor down the menu and click on "More burn options".
5. Then I show the left side of the monitor showing the "OPTIONS" menu with the speed on "FASTEST" which I change to "Slow". I unclick a couple of "Audio CDs" boxes: "Apply volume leveling across tracks" and "Burn CD without gaps". I click on "Apply" and "OK".
6. I place the cursor on "Start Burn" and click it.
7. I then move the digicam down to show the bottom right side corner where it says "9% Burned to (D). Then you see the burning speed percentage increase rapidly to 99% and the unburnt CD-R (now a CD-ROM with possibly just one tune) is ejected.
