On August 29th, 2024, Wade Wilson pled no contest to one charge of attempted trafficking and one charge to conspiracy to traffic. The trafficking case began in 2023 when Wade survived a drug overdose while in custody. Bonnie is currently awaiting trial for her alleged involvement.

On June 12, 2024, a jury convicted Wade Wilson for the 2019 murders of 35-year-old Kristine Melton and 43-year-old Diane Ruiz. The jury recommended the death penalty for each murder. Melton was discovered dead in her Cape Coral home on October 7, and that same day, Ruiz disappeared while walking to work. Wade was sentenced to death on August 27th, 2024.
