Warning: Memory prices are on the rise - what do we do?
We set out to test what everyone is afraid of: is the forced move to 16GB because of the prices going to ruin your FPS? In a comprehensive test we conducted at HardwareX, we compared the old AM4 platform with the new AM5, and checked whether a more powerful graphics card really helps when the memory and processor are choked.
The results surprised even us! We saw situations where a weaker graphics card with more memory provided a smoother gaming experience than an expensive card with low memory.
