PSYC 5316 -- maximum likelihood estimation
This is a lecture on maximum likelihood estimation for my PSYC 5316: Advanced Quantitative Methods course. We use some R functions to compute MLEs to fit data with a binomial model, a normal model, and an ex-Gaussian model. The discussion is decidedly nontechnical...the goal is to develop intuition and some "how-to" skills with R.
