Update Apple TV to latest iOS using Apple Configurator
How to update Apple TV to iOS 7.1 using Apple Configurator.
Plug in the power adapter a working Ethernet connection and the Micro USB into the Apple TV
Open Apple Configurator and plug the USB connection to your Mac
The Apple TV Assistant will appear
Click next on Don’t enroll
And again click Next for Erase and install latest version
Type in a name for your Apple TV
Leave the language as English
And un tick Send diagnostic Data to Apple
Then click Next
There is no need to set up any profiles so click next
Choose Ethernet on the dialogue box that appears
And click Configure.
It will take about 10 – 15 minutes to download and configure
A dialogue box will appear telling you to disconnect the USB and the Power Cable, reconnect the power cable and then connect the usb cable once the light stops blinking.
Once you done that It will finish off the update and tell you that it has been configured successfully
Once that is done plug your Apple TV into your Television
Click on settings
Then General
Network
And Wifi
Choose your wireless connection and type in your password
And then click on Done
If it all went well you should see a page like this.
