The snow has finally left our forests, and even the sun has begun to appear periodically, delighting us with warmth. Nature is waking up, which means it's time to gather for a rare seasonal product – birch sap.
I'm joining a good friend on the expedition, a great expert in various beverages. We'll grab our equipment and head out into the fields to find birch groves protected by the harsh ticks of the orders Borreliosis and Lyme!
On our first trip, we'll show you our sap-collecting method; you might even learn something useful. The event itself is unusual, and with an interesting friend by your side, conversations flow naturally. Of course, not all the jokes made it onto the screen, but we're filming an "aesthetic" video, after all.
A cozy birch grove, where we were accompanied by noisy crows and curious magpies. Unfortunately, we weren't able to properly photograph the ants drinking birch sap, as the intoxicated insects simply fell into the grass upon seeing us. However, during the conversation, new terms were introduced into the terminology: "birch milker," "arboreal self-defense," and "toothed tree." We also answered questions about why it's undesirable to drink yellow birch sap and why one should take willow branches from the Sinner.
During the second visit, a scientific approach was used to determine the quality of the liquid. The parameters were satisfactory, the outdoor tasting was a success, and there were no accidents involving toilet paper. All the trees shared their beneficial drink and were reliably rehabilitated with garden pitch.
All in all, we had a great time talking with a friend and harvested a good harvest! I'm writing this over a cheerful glass of birch sap kvass, and, as Raikin said, "It has a unique taste")))
I wish you all a spring mood, good weather, and healthy vitamins!
P.S. By the way, each dripper has a small filter, which is best removed in advance if you plan to use it repeatedly. The filter purifies the sap well, but over time it becomes clogged with sawdust, making it difficult to clean, and the drip's throughput begins to decrease.
