The iPhone 17 series has officially dropped in the UAE — but if you’ve picked one up, you’ll notice something missing. There’s no SIM tray on any of the new models. That means it’s eSIM only this year.
Here’s a full walkthrough on how to activate your eSIM with Etisalat, du, and Virgin Mobile:
📱 Etisalat (e&): Use the app → Manage → My SIM Cards → Replace SIM → Select eSIM → Upload Emirates ID → Facial recognition → Activate.
📱 du: Open app → Get More Done → Manage SIM → Transfer eSIM → UAE Pass authentication → Activate.
📱 Virgin Mobile: Main Menu → Manage Numbers → Manage SIM → Move to eSIM → Choose Instant activation (or driver/store if ID isn’t updated).
