Visiting the Pamirs (1) 2019
I was in the Pamirs in 2019. It's a mountainous region, and the people are very kind and welcoming.
The village of Dashtak is not far from Khorog. I was greeted by very kind and warm-hearted people!!! I still remember that meeting!!!
Three years have passed, which doesn't seem like much. But so much has happened in the world in those three years... There was a global pandemic, cities and countries were closed, and many people got sick. I was sick too and even had to quit my job.
And then... the owner of this hospitable family died. I still can't believe it... I don't even want to make more videos; I don't know when I'll start...
Peace and stability in the Pamirs.
In general, the Pamiris are similar to the Slavs in their spiritual qualities. They have great respect for Russia.
They are Muslims, just of a different branch than the Tajiks. They are Shiites. To be clear, they don't have mosques; they worship Allah through music, dance, and song.
At the end of the meeting, they thanked me for the opportunity to speak Russian!!! They love Russia!
