In this video I show how to create custom transitions, including flat circle transitions and linear color wipe transitions by only using the editing window in Davinci Resolve. The Fusion portion of Resolve is not used to make these transitions. It was fun to try. There is certainly more control by making the transitions in Blackmagic Fusion 9 or the Fusion tab of Davinci Resolve 15, but it is possible if you do not want to use the nodes in Fusion. The free version of Davinci Resolve 15 was used to make these easy video transitions. Give it a try. Almost any type of flat color wipe or shape transition can be created and customized by following the examples in this tutorial. Using the Fusion Page node is much more powerful for creating custom transitions. It is much easier to create transitions right in the Edit Page in davinci resolve.
Thanks for watching and Learning Resolve!
