Open Programs with keyboard shortcuts | Windows 10 | Use your keyboard | windows tips and tricks
Why to use your mouce or your voice when you can use your keyboard?
Here's you can create keyboard shortcuts for programs and apps to open.
Process to follow:
1. Open the start menu/screen, and go to your all app list.
2. Find the application you want to create a keyboard shortcut for. And then right click the application/app, a drop down menu will appear, search for Open File Location option and click it.
But, incase you do not see the option Open file location it means you are looking at your native system windows app or app from the windows store.
(To make keyboard shortcut for those system apps as well, you have to watch this video till end.)
3. Then right click the app shortcut and click on properties option. Properties Dialogue box will appear on your screen.
4. Under the shortcut tab, you should see a line that says shortcut key. click the textbox next to this line and then tap the desired shortcut key on your keyboard. The new shortcut will appear as ctrl+Alt+[key].
Note: Don't use the already used keyboard shortcut use unique keyboard shortcut.
5. Click Apply (an 'Access Denied' windows may pop-up, click Continue to grant admin privileges and complete the operation.)
6. Now you can use your new keyboard shortcut to open up the program or app.
