The Northern Urals are a mountain range in the Ural Mountains, stretching from Kosvinsky Kamen and the neighboring Konzhakovsky Kamen (59° N) in the south to the northern slopes of the Telposiz massif, or more precisely, to the banks of the Shchugor River, which encircles it from the north.
The Kriv base is located next to the Denezhkin Kamen Nature Reserve (15 km away). The log houses stand in a cedar-deciduous forest.
