What is the spoon theory as it relates to Fibromyalgia? It has to do with how we ration our energy.
I came across this theory last year. I thought the spoon theory was irrelevant as it relates to me...right! But now, I realize that my energy levels are imperative to my overall well-being and implementing this habit will prevent me from pushing myself to exhaustion. So... the spoon theory makes perfect sense to me now!
How many spoons do I use in a day? My thought is to start off slow and low. Perhaps 15 spoons a day and work my way up or down. It's an eye opener for me because it really makes you think how much energy it takes to complete simple tasks (i.e. getting dressed, brushing your teeth) etc.
