Creating Power BI Reports with Project Desktop Data

Hello, and welcome to the channel.

A very frequent question from people who use Microsoft Project and are starting to use Power BI is whether it's possible to create reports and dashboards in Power BI using data from Project Desktop...

Here on the channel, all the videos about Power BI use data from Project Online as a reference, so I believe this is causing some confusion for the audience watching the videos.

The simple answer to the question is YES: it is possible to create reports and dashboards in Power BI with data from Project Desktop, that is, without needing to use an integrated project management platform like Project Online or Project Server.

However (and there are always buts...), although the creation process is relatively simple, it can be quite laborious (and even unproductive to some extent) when managing multiple schedules.

And these are the points I would like to discuss in this video. I hope you enjoy it!
