Violent Riot against Police in Athens with Petrol Bombs - 20 Policemen Injured
A violent riot broke out in the Olympic Stadium in Athens. There were people throwing petrol bombs and police had to use teargas to keep control. Seats were set on fire and many supporters tried to get in without a ticket. Police had to fight the hooligans in and out of the stadium. A total of 20 policemen were injured of which 2 were seriously injured and 50 people were arrested.
