City Council Meeting - July 27, 2021
The Mayor and City Council met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, July 27. At the start of the meeting, the Mayor proclaimed Tuesday, August 3, as National Night Out and called upon all residents and businesses of Urbandale to join the festivities at National Night Out on August 3, 2021.
The City Council approved a $35,000 contract for a strategic planning consultant. The Mayor and City Council will work with the consultant to create strategic priorities for the City. Then, departmental strategies are created to meet the Mayor and Council's strategic priorities. A Strategic Plan is usually developed after a City Council election in November and has traditionally been a two-year document.
The City Council approved a $40,000 agreement with artist Seth Palmiter to create and install a signature piece of artwork at Walnut Creek Regional Park.
