How to Change Your Online Status in the Discord Application

Steps to Change Your Online Status in Discord:
Open Discord.
Click on your profile picture at the bottom left.
Choose from the following status options:
Online :Green Dot: You’re active and available.
Idle :Yellow Moon: Away from your keyboard.
Do Not Disturb :Red Circle: No notifications.
Invisible : Gray Circle: Appears offline, but you can still use Discord.
Click Set a custom status to add a personalized message and set a duration.
Here are some additional tips and tricks for managing your online status in Discord:
Set a Custom Status with Emojis
Click Set a custom status to add a message.
Use emojis to make it more fun.
You can set a duration: Clear in 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, Today, or Don't Clear.
Switch Status on Mobile
Tap your profile picture in the bottom right.
Tap Set Status and choose an option.
Use ‘Streamer Mode’ PC
If you're streaming, enable Streamer Mode in Settings : Streamer Mode to hide personal info and notifications.
Quick Status Change with Right-Click
On PC, right-click your profile picture in the bottom left to quickly switch statuses.
Automate Status with Bots
Some Discord bots can change your status based on activity .e.g., music bots showing "Listening to Spotify".
Sync Status with Spotify or Games
Discord can automatically display your activity if you're playing a game or listening to Spotify.
Enable this in Settings : Connections.
Invisible but Still Active
"Invisible" lets you stay online without others knowing—perfect for focusing without distractions!
