I Finally built the Event Modeling Feature I hated. Now I´m the one using it
For months, I refused to add direct sticky note editing to my Event Modeling toolkit. It felt messy, chaotic, wrong. "Just use the UI," I kept telling users.
Then I finally built it - skeptically. And immediately started using it myself for real work.
Turns out, I was completely wrong. And it wasn't the last time.
In this video, I share the pattern I kept discovering: building for the ideal user in my head instead of the real humans in front of me. From sticky notes to Jira integration to bulk rename features - every time I resisted what users asked for, I was wrong.
The lesson? Removing friction matters more than being right. Meet people where they are, even if it's messy.
