Experiment 1: Electroplating of coins
Procedure: First take a container having a copper sulphate solution
Then take a Minimum 9 volts Battery having positive or negative ends. The positive end will be anode and the negative end will be cathode. Take two wires, a wire with two small terminals at both ends made of copper i.e pure It is cathode[-] then take the next wire with one end connected with the terminal and other end should not be connected with the terminal i.e anode[+]. Dip both wires in the solution. Attach coin to the cathode and dip the anode side that is without terminal Attach the two terminals to the respective ends + or - Next wait for one to two minutes You will see that the copper sulphate will be plated on the coin Then detach the coin from the terminal. And disconnect from the battery. Done✔️
