TUTORIAL How to do Closed Captioning and Translated Subtitles
This is my tutorial for how to do Closed Captioning in English and also translating those subtitles to other languages. I always let YouTube do its magic by adding automated subtitles. This is basically an algorithm that looks for spoken words and transcribes those into Closed Captioning. About 30% of my audience is looking at my videos with Closed Captioning on. And although only 1% have the subtitles in Spanish I always add these. It's really doesn't take me long to do the translations since I am just letting Google Translate do the work for me and hoping it will be good enough. If I could speak Spanish I would of course go over the translation and manually correct words or phrases that Google got wrong. Now I am just hoping that the translated subtitles are good enough.
