The Facility Core - The Secret World Boss Fight
The hardest fight I've yet experienced in game. This is a success, but followed many failures. I'm using blood for single-target against the core (plus the grenade assault rifle consumer) and assault rifle plus blood AE consumer against the drones. The build is heavy on affliction, mostly so that the grenade does extra damage.
Dodging lasers, ending up in separate rooms from the healer (you can pass through red walls, but they don't stay red for long) and getting smished by drone swarms makes movement key in this fight. Staying alive is more important than doing damage - yet there's also a DPS check, with an audible charge count. Also, since the lasers follow you, you can easily kill a groupmate by running close.
This attempt looks fairly clean. (Although I notice we lost our healer midway through the fight, I didn't even realize that at the time.) But it was attempt #6, I believe. Possibly #5. I uploaded our last failure here: • The Facility Core FAIL - The Secret World ... . It took almost twice as long to fail as for this win.
Background: The Facility is an old Soviet advanced research station, defended by supersoldiers, conducting filth research. The core is its central AI, but this isn't the last boss fight.
