In today's video, I discuss Dual Wielding (or Two Weapon Fighting) in D&D 5e and compare it to its main competitors for melee fighting styles: weapon + shield and 2 handed weapons.
Also discussed are situations when dual wielding is mechanically advantageous, and builds one might use it for.
For comparisons, I used a generic fighter, one version that starts with a feat at first level one one that does not (totaling 6 characters). I checked damage against ACs of 10 and 15 without advantage.
Have any thoughts, or played a dual wielding character yourself? Let me know in the comments!
