Today’s hair tutorial is on how to do half-up half-down hairstyles, perfect as a hoco/homecoming hairstyle, prom hairstyle, or wedding hairstyle. This simple hairstyle works beautifully for long hair and medium-length hair, including shoulder-length hair. My favourite part about this half-up hairstyle is that it’s easier than it looks! How To Recreate This Easy Half Up Hairstyle
1. To create soft waves, curl your hair with a 1” wand and pull each section as it cools.
2. Now, place your thumbs in front of your ears.
3. Trace up to your crown, gather the top layer of hair, and completely section it off.
4. Smooth it back with a dense bristle brush for a clean look.
5. Hold the section in your right hand.
6. Place your middle and index fingers from your left hand on top of the ponytail.
7. Wrap your ponytail to the right, up, and around your fingers.
8. Hook your fingers left, pressing against your scalp to hold the twist.
9. Secure the twist with three french pins, angling them outward as you slide them in through the twist.
10. Fan out the top and slide your fingers through the loop.
11. Wiggle in 3-4 bobby pins to secure it in place.
