ESSENTIAL LINUX COMMANDS FOR BEGINNERS:
The commands shown in this video are the basic and essential commands that you should know while working on Linux Systems.
Press Ctrl+Alt+T OR Right click on Linux (Ubuntu) Desktop & select Terminal.
pwd - This command gives us the absolute path of current directory
ls - command lists the files & directories
cd - command to change the path to “HOME” Directory
mkdir (Make Directory)
Command used to create a Directory
rmdir (Remove Directory)
Command used to delete a Directory
touch - Command used to create an empty file or files
cat - Command used to create a file with contents
cp - Command used to copy files or group of files or directory
mv - Command used to move one or more files or directories from one location to another location
rm & rm -r : commands used to delete files & directories.
Please remember,
Linux commands are case sensitive, and almost all commands should be used in lower case letters.
