This allows you to draw on your slides when giving a presentation, and because these keyboard shortcuts are universal between all versions of PowerPoint. So you're covered in PowerPoint 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016.
That's the beauty of learning the right keyboard shortcuts, they typically work across all versions of PowerPoint. So you can learn them once and use them forever.
These drawing tool shortcuts are easily broken down into the PIES acronym, and are double dipping shortcuts between the Normal View and Slide Show views of your presentation.
In the Normal View of your presentation, these shortcuts include:

In the Slide Show View or Presenters view of your presentation, you can use these drawing tool shortcuts to add ink to your slides and creative an interactive presentation:

Once you get the hang of these drawing shortcuts, you can either draw on your slides during your presentation (to highlight your point) or pre-draw on your slides and save the ink.
